"What does a website cost?" has no fixed answer — just like "what does a renovation cost?". But you can estimate where you will end up once you know which factors drive the price.
1. Scope and content
A one-page website with a clear message and a contact form is quick to build. Every extra page needs design, copy and testing. More important than the number of pages is often how many different kinds of pages there are: ten service pages with the same layout are less work than five pages that all work differently.
2. Functionality
This is where the biggest price difference lies. An informational website shows fixed content. As soon as dynamic content is involved — inventory you manage yourself, search and filtering, a client portal or a link with your accounting software — it becomes a web application with a database and admin area. That is custom work and needs more development and testing time.
3. Design and languages
A custom design that presents your brand well costs more than a standard template, but also sets you apart. A second language means translated copy, separate URLs per language and extra SEO settings — not a switch you simply flip.
4. Costs after launch
Besides the build, plan for recurring costs: hosting, a domain name, updates, backups and small changes. At LineForge, hosting, maintenance and support start from € 20 per month (excl. VAT, domain name separate).

How to get a quote that holds
- Describe what visitors should be able to do on the site, not just how it should look.
- Mention existing systems that need to be connected.
- Say who will provide the copy and photos.
- Share an indication of your budget, so the solution can be tailored to it.
