Privacy statement

Who are we?

LineForge is a web development studio based in Noord-Holland, the Netherlands. We are responsible for processing your personal data as described in this statement. You will find our contact details at the bottom of this page.

What data do we process?

We only process data you provide yourself, for example via the contact or intro-call form, by email or by phone:

• name and company name
• email address and phone number
• indicative budget and the content of your message
• for an intro call: your preferred date and time and whether you prefer phone or video
• for assignments: billing and address details

The forms on this website do not send any data themselves. They open your own email app with a pre-filled message; we only receive your details once you send that email.

What do we use your data for?

• to answer your question or request and send you a proposal;
• to carry out an assignment and communicate with you about the project;
• to invoice and to comply with legal (tax) obligations.

The legal basis for this is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, the performance of a contract, and compliance with a legal obligation.

How long do we keep your data?

Requests that do not lead to an assignment are kept for no longer than one year after the last contact. Data required for our accounts is kept for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law.

Sharing with others

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties needed to provide our services, such as our email provider and the hosting provider of this website. Agreements are in place with these parties about protecting your data.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not place cookies and does not use analytics or tracking software. The hosting provider may keep technical server logs (such as IP address and time of visit) to keep the website secure and available.

Security

This website uses a secure connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You can also object to processing, restrict processing or request your data in a portable format. Send your request to the email address below; we will respond within one month.

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We may update this privacy statement, for example when the website changes. The date of the last change is shown at the top of this page.
